Retirement is not really the right word to describe how people are navigating their 50s and 60s these days.

But since no one has come up with a better term, we continue to call it that, although fewer people are actually "retiring" these days. Many are taking a year or two off, relocating, then working part time.

Others are retiring in the traditional sense. Either way, making the most of their money is at the top of the list.
